Try Quest — the Independent 11+ edition

The free demo is a hand-picked sampler from right across the course: full tests at every level from Bronze to Platinum, the daily five and the Weekly Challenge in every quest, the complete Flashcard Trainer, six-question tasters of the entrance sitting papers, and a live Skills Report that fills in as medals are won. Anything marked 🔒 is in the full edition. Your progress saves in your browser, so you can come back tomorrow and carry on.

The demo opens in its own tab so your child has the whole screen; this page stays open behind it. Progress is saved on this device, so you can come back to it later.

Four Quests, 4,600 questions

Maths 1,560 · English 1,040 · Verbal 1,600 · Non-Verbal 400 — every subtopic a short test with Bronze to Platinum medals to win.

The Exam Hall

Three timed mock papers and the Big Exam inside every Quest. Every slip is logged in My Corrections to retake until it's beaten.

Flashcards with audio

580+ cards with spaced repetition — miss one and it comes back tomorrow; get it right and it waits longer.

The Entrance Sitting

A 50-minute English paper built around a reading passage, a 50-minute Maths paper, and full-length Verbal and Non-Verbal papers inside their quests.

Skills Report for parents

Every skill graded from the medals and exams, with an exam-readiness verdict. Printable, with an optional grown-up PIN.

My exam plan

Set the exam date and a dated, week-by-week plan appears across the whole syllabus, updating itself as medals are won.

The Weekly Challenge New

Each week a friendly Guardian guards one topic: ten untimed questions, your child's weakest subtopics first, one try a day until Sunday. Score 7 out of 10 to meet the Guardian and add it to the album. No timers, no defeats, no chance rewards.

My Hero New

Your child designs their own character — ten characters, outfits, hats, extras, a friend and a backdrop. Every option is unlocked by learning: medals won, day streaks, corrections beaten and Guardians met, never by chance.

Working out, under every question New

Every question in every test, mock, paper and daily five has a board underneath to draw on — finger, stylus or mouse, four inks, a thick pen, an eraser and undo. The working stays with its question as your child moves through the test.

Which test does your target school use?

Independent senior schools do not all set the same entrance test, and several have changed provider in the last two years. Our Independent 11+ materials — both the Quest software and the printed papers — cover the same four subjects these tests draw on, so they prepare a child whichever of them the school has chosen.

ISEB Common Pre-Test

The long-standing online, adaptive test in English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, sat once and shared with every school applied to. Still widely used and not being withdrawn — the exam board has confirmed it is running as normal for the coming admissions rounds.

Quest Assessments Newer

A newer entrance test, run by the company behind Atom Learning and now used by over 160 UK schools. Part 1 covers English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, some of it adapting to your child's answers; Part 2 adds puzzles, problem solving and a comprehension task drawing on several sources. Each school chooses which parts to set, so check its admissions page.

The London 11+ Consortium

A group of London girls' schools sharing one online assessment, built by Quest and sat once in late November or early December of Year 6, with the result seen by every Consortium school applied to.

The school's own papers

Many schools set their own written English and Maths papers, usually alongside one of the tests above, plus an interview or assessment day.

Whichever your school sets, the skills are the same: secure Key Stage 2 English and Maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and enough practice under the clock to work calmly at speed. Schools change provider from year to year, so always confirm with the school. Checked September 2026.

Option 2 · Printed papers

Free Independent 11+ practice paper & tutor video

A full-length Non-Verbal Reasoning paper in the independent-school style — three sections (Horizontal Codes, Most Alike, Make a Pair) with worked examples, a bubble-style answer sheet, and the answers at the back. Print it, sit it under timed conditions, then mark it.

Quest and the printed papers are separate products — plenty of families use both, but neither one needs the other.
