What the main UK providers charge, what you get for it, and how to try before you buy — including where our own products fit and where others do things we don't.
Prices checked 15 September 2026 · from each provider's own website unless markedProviders are grouped by what they sell — software you subscribe to, papers you buy once, or tutoring. Subscription prices are as published; annual figures are the provider's own annual plan where one exists. A few providers only publish prices inside their shop, so those rows are marked and worth checking directly.

Prices include VAT where the provider shows them that way. Where a provider publishes only a range, the range is shown. "Verified on the provider's site" means we read the price on that site on 15 September 2026; "third-party listings" means the price came from a directory or review site and may be out of date.
Rather than comparing every product line by line, this shows what each kind of product typically offers — because the choice is usually between kinds first, providers second.

No single product suits every child. These are the honest trade-offs as we see them.
Atom Learning and Bond Premium steer each child with adaptive AI, and Atom offers live tutoring on top. That is genuinely useful for a child who needs the difficulty tuned for them — and it is what you pay £380 to £670 a year for. The recurring cost and auto-renewal are the things parents mention most.
Bond Online is inexpensive and vast; GL Assessment's own packs are the closest thing to the real papers for the schools that use GL. Neither explains a wrong answer to your child — you mark and explain yourself — and the banks renew monthly.
One payment, nothing to renew, and a tutor video for every question in every paper — so a child can see how an answer is found without a parent having to work it out first. Quest adds the on-screen practice, mocks, corrections and reports. We don't do adaptive AI or live tutoring, and we don't pretend to.
Or try everything free first: free Quest demos, sample papers and videos.
No — it is our page, and we sell two of the products on it. The figures for other providers are taken from their own websites (or, where marked, from third-party listings) on the date shown, and we have tried to describe what they offer fairly, including things they do that we do not. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.
Because it is a different kind of product. The platforms at the top of the range use adaptive AI to steer each child and offer live tutoring; those things cost money to run and are priced accordingly. Quest is a complete, fixed course you buy once — questions, mocks, sitting papers, flashcards, corrections, a Skills Report and an exam plan — with no ongoing service behind it, so it can be a one-off price with nothing to renew.
They do different jobs. Quest is for regular practice on screen — short tests, medals, the daily five, the Weekly Challenge — with the mistakes kept to retake. The papers are for rehearsing the real thing on paper, under timed conditions, with a tutor video showing how every answer is found. Plenty of families use both, which is why the bundle exists, but each stands on its own.
Prices were last checked on 15 September 2026. Providers change prices without notice — Bond, for example, has announced an increase from February 2026 — so treat the figures as a guide and confirm the current price on the provider's own site before you buy.
