Sutton Grammar School is a highly selective boys’ grammar school in Sutton, South London. Admission into Year 7 is based on performance in the Selective Eligibility Test (SET), as part of the Sutton Grammar Schools’ Consortium.
✅ Year 7 Admissions Criteria
To be considered for a place, applicants must:
1. Pass the Selective Eligibility Test (SET)
- The SET is a multiple-choice test with two papers:
- Maths
- English
- The test is taken once and shared among Sutton’s grammar schools (including Wilson’s, Wallington County, and Nonsuch).
- Candidates who pass may be invited to a second stage test if required by the school.
📌 Note: Sutton Grammar does not require a second stage test. Admission is based on SET results only.
2. Meet Oversubscription Criteria (if more boys pass than places available):
Priority is given in this order:
- Looked After / Previously Looked After Children
