- GL Assessment Materials: GL provides free familiarisation papers for Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Maths (10 hours total). These give sample questions and explain formats, helping children meet the exam layout in advance.
- CGP 11+ Series: CGP’s 11+ English, Maths, VR and NVR books are popular. They offer clear topic summaries and practice questions. Use these for learning concepts, then check answers to learn from mistakes.
- Bond 11+ Practice: Bond publishes practice books for all subjects (especially Arithmetic, Reasoning). These are exam-style questions that build familiarity. They’re great for timed practice once basic understanding is solid.
- Schofield & Sims: Particularly good for Verbal Reasoning vocabulary (the Vocabulary & Spelling series) and Non-Verbal puzzles. Their books often present multiple question types in one place.

- Reading Materials: Encourage wide reading (age-appropriate fiction and non-fiction) to build comprehension skills and vocabulary, which benefit both Verbal Reasoning and the English paper. Newspapers like National Geographic Kids or fun puzzle books can boost critical thinking.
